D&P receives numerous requests for Sponsorships throughout the year. We are aware that it is practically impossible to assist all those in need. But we also believe that we have a social responsibility to assist in some form or another. It is for this reason that D&P have put structures in place that enables us to assist some underprivileged clubs by donating cricket equipment.
For the past 5 seasons since 2007, D&P have been donating equipment to some development clubs in and around the Western Cape region. In 2007 and 2008 we donated kit to the WPCA as part of our charity work (see attached PDF). The WPCA then distributed that kit to those clubs/ schools in desperate need of cricket equipment.
From 2009, we have been directly been donating kit over to various clubs. This year has seen us once again handing over kit to Gugulethu CC.
This is just one of the things that D&P Cricket do which continually sets us apart from other brands. It is also small efforts like these which explain why we have been growing not only in Western Cape region as a Brand, but also expanding into other Provinces across SA.
